QUESTION
I need a hotplate for a stainless steel 60 quart stock pot that is obviously larger than the entire Iwatani at 16.5" in diameter. It would have to be on for 3 to 4 hours at a time.
It also has to work out of a standard household outlet take takes a grounded plug.
Is this product a possibility for this kind of use?
Thanks for any practical information you can bring to this question.
ANSWER
Hello, this unit uses an individual 120volt, 15amp electrical socket.
Stainless steel pots and pans will work with this unit however Iwatani recommends that pots and pans be less than 10 ½ “ in diameter. If the user does not operate any functions for more than 2 hours while the pan is on the induction range it will automatically shut off.
Thank you!

QUESTION
The fan in my unit is incredibly loud. Is there a way of fixing this or is it an indication that the fan needs replaced? There isn't anything "strange" about the noise (it sounds like a fan) but is incredibly loud. Thanks!
ANSWER
Hello, we would recommend contacting the Iwatani manufacturer directly at 201-585-2442. They will be able to help you pinpoint whether or not there is an issue with your current unit. Thank you!

QUESTION
I presently own two Iwantani induction cook tops (Model US-9000) both are getting older and I see the newer model is an IWA-1800. My question is: the four black mounting feet on the IWA-1800 are they the exact measurements as the older US-9000? I have both of my units inset slightly down on my counter top. The present measurements on the US-9000 are:
AS the stove faces you:
Front width: 11 ½”
Back width: 10 7/8”
Right side front to back: 14 3/8”
Left side front to back: 14 1/8”
ANSWER
Hi! The Iwatani Induction Stove Model IWA 1800 does not appear to have the exact same measurements as your current US-9000 model. The IWA 1800 model has a front width of 13.23 inches, a depth of 16.69 inches and a total height of 3.93 inches. The height without the feet is 2.2 inches. Thank you.

Hi. I'll re-upload the manual into the "Literature" tab of this product page for item #114406. For some reason, it didn't work before, but hopefully by tomorrow it will. Thanks!

QUESTION
I would like to have more information on the Iwatanbi Low-Profile
induction burner. Modle #IWA 1800. Where is it manufactore, how many heat setting does it have, temp. control. etc.
Thank you
John
I am also looking in to the Vollrath (59500P) 14" Mirage Pro Series.
ANSWER
Hi. If you zoom into the picture, you can see that you can set it by "heat" or by "temp" using the electronic pad. There is a low-med-high range (9 levels) or you can set from 110-410 degrees F (7 temperature settings). This is made in China. The Mirage Pro has 1-100 power levels or °F/°C temperature level controls. It is imported. There is a spec sheet and manual in that product's "literature" tab for more information. Thanks!

QUESTION
Do I need special pot or pan to use stove,
ours doesn't heat up, all the indicator power are on but doesn't heat.
ANSWER
Hi. This is an induction cooktop and you'll need to use a magnetic pan (any cookware that attracts a magnet). They're usually labeled or described as "induction ready" cookware. For example, item #114414 is part of a line that is induction ready.
