QUESTION
1.dishwasher safe? 2. Household pressure cooker (closed quick cooker) safe? 3. how to replace the caps? what kind size cap for? Thanks!

ANSWER
Yes, these Anchor Hocking jars are dishwasher safe. Anchor Hocking does not sell replacement lids but these jars use normal canning jar size caps. As for a pressure cooker, you should be able to use them as long as there is at least a cup of water inside the pressure cooker. The jar should never be placed directly on the bottom. But, you should check the directions of your pressures cooker to be sure before you do this. Thanks! , he also wanted to know about using them in a pressure cooker. From what I found you can use mason jars in a pressure cooker if you put water in them and don’t place them directly on the rack.

Can I use these jars for ice cream?

ANSWER
Anchor Hocking jars are not freezer safe and could not be used to freeze ice cream. Thanks!

Used them to can string beans. Five out of six lids whorped. Had to redo using another brand. I give them a big fat zero rating. Will never buy that brand again.
