We have the 14oz Copper Moscow Mule Mug. Can we use the mugs for hot beverages such as coffee and hot tea? Is there any special care or precautions for washing or treatments for the mugs?

Hello, no special treatment is necessary other than the need to hand wash. A dishwasher would be too harsh. Also, they should not soak for more than 10 – 15 minutes. Hot beverages are fine. Thank you!

I LOVE these mugs, and we own an electroplating plant (hard chrome, heavy metals).
We are not licensed to copper plate, but my husband will ask what I received for his hard earned money.
Is this hammered from plates of copper, or is it a base metal that is then electoplated with copper?
