QUESTION
In the photo of this splash cover, it appears that the top is closed which would not allow it to be used while mixing. Is it really closed or is this an illusion? Also, this same model number, SPLASH-LEX012, on Amazon looks like a different cover. Please advise.

ANSWER
The top is open on this splash cover as for the picture it does look like it is a white splash guard. I pulled up several pictures of this on Amazon a couple of them are different looking, they almost look like diagram pictures not real still pictures.
