I use the 20 oz. bottle for spicy mayo but filling it is difficult because of the small diameter fill hole. Do you make one with a hole larger than 1 5/8" ???

Question: This FIFO bottle seems to have a bit of a different description than most of the rest I am looking at. Is there a difference?

We visited someone who served honey in a dispenser that came out the bottom, but neatly stopped the flow so there was no sticky drip. She purchased the dispensor at a restaurant supply place somewhere but had no further information. I'm wonder if the Fifo is such a gizmo. Can you provide details about how it works?
ANSWER
Hi. Yes, this FIFO bottle sounds like the dispenser you saw. The idea is that the bottle is filled up from the top, and you can lay the bottle down on the dispensing side so that what ever was poured in first is used up first.
It can be used with honey and is designed to not leak. However, there have been some experiences with leaks, depending on how people use them and the thickness of the contents..
--A tip i came across: The FIFO Bottle is designed for air to move only through the valve. If you place FIFO Bottles on top of a heat source the air pressure will expand and be forced through the valve causing the bottle to leak. Remove the FIFO Bottles from the heat source and leaking will not occur.
Another tip: If you are removing FIFO Bottles from a refrigerated source and placing the bottles into a warmer environment, give the bottles a short squeeze after removing from the cold environment. This will bring the warmer air into the bottle and prevent leaking. Hope this helps.

can this be set upside down,with out leaking condiments out? (are these what they use at Subway ?)

This bottle can be set upside down and as long as the lid is on tight, nothing should be leaked out. These may not be the exact item used at Subway, but the concept is the same.
