QUESTION
What is the battery life of this item when used as a clock?

The life of a AAA battery depends on what it is used for. A digital clock will run for about six months with a standard AAA battery, a year with an alkaline or a rechargeable but up to two or three years with lithium.

QUESTION
I bought a TAYLOR 5847-21 digital Chrome timer this morning and stupidly did not save the directions. Now I can't figure how to set it. Please Help!
ANSWER
Hi, I have uploaded the instructions for this timer and will be viewable on the product page of our website tomorrow. If you are trying to set the clock, slide the selector switch located on the top of the timer to the `CLOCK’ position. Select either the 12 hour (AM/PM) or 24 hour (military time) format by pressing and holding the clear (CLR) button. If you are in the 12 hour mode AM or PM will appear in the upper left corner of the display. Press hour (HR), minute (MIN) and second (SEC) buttons to set the time. I hope this helps. Thank you.

QUESTION
I cannot find my copy of the manual for this Taylor digital clock/timer. I need to re-set the clock. The timer has a three-way sliding button on top for Count Down (the feature I use most), Clock and Count Up. On the face, it has buttons for Hr, Min, Sec, Mem, Clr, and Start/Stop. We replaced the battery and re-set the clock, but now it is a 24-hour clock instead of a 12-hour clock. How do I get the 12-hour clock? Thanks for your help.
ANSWER
Hello, here are the instructions from the user manual on how to accomplish this:
"TO SET THE CLOCK:
Slide the selector switch located on the top of the timer to the `CLOCK’ position. Select either the 12 hour (AM/PM) or 24 hour (military time) format by pressing and holding the clear (CLR) button. If you are in the 12 hour mode AM or PM will appear in the upper left corner of the display. Press hour (HR), minute (MIN) and second (SEC) buttons to set the time."
Thank you!
