QUESTION
What is the serving/capacity size of this item. I see others listed that are 2 quarts or 1 1/2 quarts. Also, it references seasoning prior to use - what does that involve? Thank you

ANSWER
Hi, the manufacturer does not specifiy a capacity size for this item. We do know it has a 7-7/8" diameter. "Seasoning" is cooking oil baked onto the iron at a high temperature. It is necessary to maintain its ongoing non-stick surface and to prevent it from rusting. There are a lot of step-by-step instructions on the internet on how to season your cast iron cookware.
