I cook chicken in an oven at 400 - 450 degrees, can i use the cord and probe to monitor chicken?.

Hello, while the thermometer can only register up to 392 degrees Fahrenheit, the probe/cord itself is safe for higher temperatures. Thank you!

QUESTION
What is temperature range of this thermometer. Can it be used to make peanut brittle?

ANSWER
Hello, this thermometer has a range of 32 degrees F to 392 degrees F (0 degrees C to 200 degrees C). Depending on the temperature of the brittle, it could be used to measure that, though typically it is used to measure the temperature of meat. We do have thermometers specifically made for candy though, such as item #113194, #113239, #113405, among others. Thank you!

How fast is the response time? In other words, if I am measuring the temperature of a radiator and it increases 20ºF in 10 seconds, how long will that change take to register?
