These Edwards Councilor Steramine Sanitizing Tablets can be used to sanitize food contact surfaces and equipment in a variety of businesses. These tablets fulfill the sanitizing criteria of the U.S. Public Health Service. They can be used on glassware, countertops, tables, utensils, beverage equipment, frozen dessert machines, scuba equipment, and more. They are able to kill CA-MRSA, Escherichia coli, HIV-1, Listeria monocytogenes, COVID‐19, and staphylococcus aureus. For COVID, use at 400ppm concentration.
QUESTION How do you know this product kills COVID-19 at 400 ppm? Can you provide documentation verifying this? Thanks!
ANSWER Edwards Councilor has tested their Steramine Sanitizing Tablets and found they are effective against Covid. They are currently waiting on the EPA to approve. These tablets must have EPA approval before they can have any documentation that states it is effective against COVID. Edwards Councilor is also trying to get this product approved to be a disinfectant as the testing was completed for that as well. Hope this helps.

QUESTION This may sound odd but can I wash my apples with this product?
ANSWER Hello, we would not recommend that this product be used to wash produce. It is listed as being harmful if ingested orally, and the tablets are extremely bitter to stop people from accidentally ingesting them. It is also recommended that this product is not stored by water, food, or feed. It is generally used to clean food contact articles (such as utensils, dishes, and glasses) and surfaces in various institutions. Thank you!
