QUESTION
the specifications say they are 14.5x 10.5 and 3 in. tall. This is not fitting the picture of the canning jars. I want them to store small amounts of seeds and dried fruit. The jars have to fit on a shelf in my refrigerator. If one of the is 14.5x10.5x3.0 they will not work for my purpose.

ANSWER
The dimensions you are referring to are the case dimensions. The dimensions for the actual jars are 3.7" x 2" (diameter x height)

Hi. These Kerr jars are recommended for canning/boiling, but if you must sterilize in an oven, please do not exceed 225 degrees F. Thanks!
