I just received this battery from you poo8721 model AB13 but it is too big for the thermometer. i need a smaller one a 1.5 V L736F is battery number I need to return this one where do i send it? Can I get the one i need from you?

QUESTION
My digital thermometer fell out of the meat I was testing and fell to the floor and rolled to the back of a 425 degree oven. When the oven cooled - the thermometer had melted to the floor. It has a battery inside. How do I get the thermometer off the floor - and will the battery explode if I just leave it there?

ANSWER
Hello, we have asked the manufacturer about this and they suggest that the thermometer/battery be scraped up off the floor. They said there is virtually no chance of the battery exploding after already being exposed to such high temperatures however. Thank you!

QUESTION
How do I change the battery on the Model 550B. There are no instructions on the package as to how this is to be done.

ANSWER
Hello, according to the manufacturer you must remove the rubber boot, and then insert a coin into the slot and carefully pry open the head of the thermometer to access the battery. Thank you!
