Description

The SteamCraft® Ultra convection steamer produces steam quickly and efficiently, using patented steam jets for high velocity steam. These steamers require less cleaning and descaling. saving you time. Built using 14 gauge stainless steel and with high‐quality parts, so you can depend on this steamer to last. NOTE: The 21CET8 does require a hood to operate as it is not certified for ventless operation.

QUESTION
Does this equipment require overhead Type II hood per IMC 2021-Code Section 507.3 for producing heat or moisture?

ANSWER
The 21CET8 does require a hood to operate as it is not certified for ventless operation. Steam Chef does offer several "ventless" units which are our SteamCub boilerless units in electric too. This is the 6 pan version and we do have a 3 pan which is the 22CET3.1.

QUESTION
On item #279199 Model # 21CET8 what is the electrical requirements of this steamer? Does this steamer require direct water hook up?

ANSWER
Hello, this steamer is available in most voltages, single or three phase only. It has a power output of 8 Kilowatts. The installation requirements are an electrical connection, two 1/4" NPT cold water connections, 1.25" NPT drain connection (must be vented), and a 3" operating clearance (left, right, rear).
