I purchased these cocktail forks to use with tasting glasses at cocktail parties and receptions. They are lovely for this purpose. The size, while a smaller fork, is not overly dainty for use by larger hands. Weight is pleasantly heavey for it's size, well made and a somewhat contemporary but versatile in design. I like that the ones that I ordered are the 18/10 stainless. My understanding is that the nickel free composite made by Bon Chef (and something similar by other manufactures) holds up well to breakage, rust and pitting. My personal experience is that 18/10 arrives with more luster and maintains its luster better. I like this fork so well that if I were able to get all of the Manhattan pieces in 18/10 I would consider purchasing the entire set for everyday. Highly reccommended
