can this or another product like it be made to be able to plug into a regular electric outlet.

Answer:

Hi. This griddle is available in 208V, 240V, 50/60 Hz, 1 or 3 phase. 480V, 50/60 Hz, 3 phase. It is a commercial griddle with high power output, and is not suitable for household plugs. We have other electric griddles, and one that uses standard 3-prong voltage is item 628274. Thanks!
