I am very pleased with this cast iron frying pan from Lodge. It is a very versatile size and I have used it to sear rib-eye steaks, fry potatoes, and bake a pineapple upside-down cake. Although the preseasoned pan is adequate to get started, I am looking forward to the day my continued use makes it virtually non-stick, like the 60-year old 12 inch pan I received from my grandmother. This is good quality for a reasonable price.

Question:
Is this skillet unseasoned? What is "Logic Season"? Does Lodge make any unseasoned skillet? Also, are these skillets made in the USA? the one above? any other unseasoned one?
Answer:
This skillet is seasoned. Logic Season is Lodge's seasoning process. This skillet is made in the USA. Lodge Manufacturing currently does not carry unseasoned skillets. |
