QUESTION
A few weeks ago I purchased what I thought was this thermometer. But the mercury in it was silver. Is the mercury in this one red ?
ANSWER
Hi. Taylor is phasing out some of their mercury thermometers for the Red Permacolor liquid. We still have some of their mercury thermometers models left. When we get the red ones in, we will update the image, but for now we'll take this one down. Thanks and sorry for the confusion.

QUESTION
At the top of the Q&A and in the title of this product you say that it's filled with mercury. At the bottom of the Q&A you say it is NOT mercury. WHICH IS THE TRUTH???
ANSWER
Hi. At the moment, we are still stocking the mercury thermometers. The newer ones have the Permacolor (same model #), but we have not started to stock that yet. Once we do, we will update the image. Thanks!

QUESTION
I wanted to ask if you are certain this thermometer is mercury filled. The reason I ask is because the picture depicts a red-colored liquid whereas mercury is silver in color. I am looking for a mercury-filled thermometer in particular because I find them to be more accurate than the digital thermometers.
ANSWER
Hello, any products made by this company after 2003 are not filled with mercury. This thermometer is filled with Permacolor, which is not harmful to the skin but should not be ingested. Thank you!

QUESTION
Hello,
I need a replacement thermometer to fit a Taylor sling psychrometer. The one left has the #1323 on the back - it is 5 inches long and has a groove/slot ground in approximatelt 3/8 inch from the top, to fit in the retainer clip. I'm sure it is mercury filled. Will this one fit, or do you have one that will work in my psychrometer? Thanks in advance.
David
ANSWER
Hi. Sorry, we don't have any parts for that psychrometer. I tried to find a 1323, but couldn't find anything. Did you mean 1328PJ? If so, you can contact Taylor and see what they can do. Here is the 1328 page: http://www.taylorusa.com/sling-psychrometer-2.html
