QUESTION
I see that there are replacement Ice Cores... Does this include the lid? If not is there an item # for only purchasing the lid that holds the ice core?
ANSWER
Hello, although they did in the past, at this time the manufacturer does not make replacement ice cores or lids for this product. The only option at this time would be to buy the complete unit. They are hoping to find a way to make the replacement parts again in the future. Thank you!

QUESTION
I'm looking for a 3 Qt + glass pitcher with a lid to store ice tea in fridge and don't need (or necessarily want) the ice core but this is the only 3 Qt + glass pitcher with a lid I can find. I don't want to lose the space inside the pitcher that the ice core takes up--can it be left off and the lid still be sealed?
ANSWER
Hi, this pitcher is perfectly functional without the ice core. The ice core actually screws into a removable round plug that fits into the lid. Thank you.

QUESTION
Does the pitcher withstand hot liquids, such as for making ice tea from fresh-brewed hot tea?
ANSWER
Hi. This pitcher is meant for cold liquids and to keep them cold. If you added hot liquid and used the ice core, you'd have to replace the ice pretty often to chill it. I would recommend to chill your hot tea in a separate container and then use the pitcher to serve and maintain the temperature. Thanks!
