Can these jars be used safely for canning?
Answer:
Hi. This jar should be used for dry items, so canning is not recommended. We have a Ball mason jar that would work, although it's not 4 oz (item 211757).

I need the lid opening to measure 2" for the (plastic?) stopper to fit onto another lid without the stopper. What is the plastic ring to SEAL the lid onto the jar called: seal? washer? stopper? Anyway, I'm looking for that sealer ring of 2" and am looking to buy jar lids like this just to get the SEAL. Again, what is the measurement of the lid/seal? I need one that is 2". Thanks.

Hi. The top diameter opening is 2.25 inches. The plastic stopper, i guess is called a stopper or also can be called seal or gasket. Thanks!
