Question:
I'm looking for an option to hold marinara hot. Can this maintain temps at 145-165?
Answer:
Hi. Sorry, if you are using the included bottles, you should not exceed 125 degrees (that is why there is a knob lock). The base itself can go up to 200 degrees if you decide to use it with an insert pan and no bottles. Thanks!

Question:
I am concerned about the leaching potential of plastic bottles under heat. I use squeeze bottles for hot fudge/caramel sauce. What temperatures are reached with this unit and does this resolve the leaching potential. I know that stainless steel heating units with pumps exist but the serves prefer the ease of using the squeeze bottles. I also know that high density plastic bottles are better but do they also leach under heat and what heat intensity are we talking about. Help. I would love any information. Amelia Bucci
Answer:
Hi. The base itself can go up to 200 degrees, but if you are using the included high-density bottles, you should not exceed 125 degrees. Thanks!
