These knives are heavy duty. They are hefty, but they have great balance. I like the extra length, as do all of my guests. I've received a lot of compliments on these forks, knives and spoons. They are a fantastic value in that I was able to get twelve sets of what I needed, versus a 12-set of over-priced prepackaged tea spoon/salad fork/desert fork nonsense. And I spent less than I would have paid at a national department store.
