Star® Mfg. Grill Express™ 14" Iron Smooth Grill

This grill has smooth, cast iron platens perfect for grilling sandwiches, chicken, or fish quickly and easily. Star® express grills are designed to be used in restaurants, taverns, snack bars, or convenience stores. The grill is made of 20 gauge stainless steel with cast iron platens. The hinge system provides even pressure on both sides for excellent results. The handle stays cool-to-the-touch during use, and the grease trough makes clean-up easy.

Do these type of grills need a ventilation system? or are they smoke less and not required to have a ventilation. Thanks

Answer:

You technically don't have to have a ventilation system for this sandwich grill. You do need to check your local code enforcement to know if you require a ventilation system since this item does put off smoke and grease laden vapors.
