QUESTION
I have had (2) Briskers in the 14 years that I have lived in my house. However, the door keeps breaking on the left side. Seems to be very flimsy. Can you give me a hint to what I am doing wrong and why does it keep breaking.

QUESTION
My brisker get very warm. Is there any way to turn it down. Also, after items have been in there for a couple of months it begins to have a smell. I've put a box of baking soda in it but do you have any other suggestions. Our families have owned these for years and I've never experience an odor before. Thanks. Happy Thanksgiving!

ANSWER
Hello, according to the manufacturer operating instructions, the heated floor causes the air inside the Brisker to remain in the high 90's. When touched, it will feel warmer than this. This is because aluminum is an efficient conductor. There are no switches or themostats to adjust. To clean, window glass cleaners are recommended. I bought three of the Briskers to give to three of my children for Christmas. We have had a Brisker for over 30 years and it is still working and we love it. We bought one for our cottage as well to help salvage the chips, etc. from the salt air on the coast. This is such an amazing, durable product. Can't wait to give it to my children! They will certainly laugh about getting it, I suspect!

Bought it because I saw how useful it was in my friend's apartment. The almonds that I eat as a healthy snack, tastes much better when kept in the brisker. Cereal and crackers are somethings I didn't think about are also much better in the brisker. I must say it takes up lots of room that I have in my kitchen because I designed my kitchen counters to hold many appliances.
