Question:
Is there a way to prevent these enclosures from rusting? Are there other options besides steel? It seems inevitable that these will rust when the containers inside are wet.
Answer:
Hi. This enclosure can be treated like other steel service/displayware. After use, make sure to completely dry it. If rust starts to form, use a rust remover product or scrub the rust away with steel wool. If you have a food-safe lacquer/sealant for steel, you can paint it with that too. You can also use the metal enclosure just for display purposes, and have a plastic liner to hold the ice instead. Thanks! |
