Question:

Is this bag of charcoal the same was the Japanese white charcoal (binchotan charcoal) that stays high heated as long 4-5 hours and easily puts out with water? Thank you.

Answer:

Hello, this is aramaru binchotan charcoal. It is listed as being more economical than white binchotan. It is chemical free, almost smoke free, and burns three times hotter than American charcoal. It is easier to light than white charcoal, however it stays heated for slightly shorter - 3 to 4 hours. It can burn between 1652 - 1832 degrees F. Thank you!
