I placed bowls of my product along with some ham with toothpicks inside the dome. It was a great way to have customers sample my hot pepper jellies without having dust, hair, etc. fall into the product. The ice tray kept things cold a long time. That was great! I was nervous about the hinge holding up with people opening and closing so I always assisted. I wish that piece was made out of a more sturdy material. It's not very strong. However, I do enjoy the sample dome a lot, I am glad I purchased it
