Q:
How tightly does this lid close? We need to store flour, sugar, etc. in something like this. Also, is it less than 10" in height. I see two different heights on these pages.

  This is not a screw on lid or a snap on lid..and is used to keep things out rather than keeping them in. The overall height is 8-1/8" tall
