The Bodum 3-cup French Press is beautiful and functional and makes the best cup of coffee ever. It's big enough for small coffees for two or a very large single coffee. I do like my travel French Press better for keeping my coffee warm for hours.

Shatterproof?? Is this made out of glass or plastic? Why is this model $29.95 and the same style in a different model is $179.95. The photos look the same.

This is made of lab-grade glass that won't shatter if you break it. Even though it's shatterproof, it doesn't mean that it's crack proof. It will still break if you drop it, but it just won't shatter. This item number is for the coffee press sold by EACH. The other item number with the higher price is sold by the CASE of 6.

The glass for this coffee press is made of lab grade glass that is shatterproof. That doesn't mean it won't crack/break.
