Question:

Can you buy 1/2 and 3/8 blades and interchange or do you have to buy three different models

Answer:

No the dicer is designed to use only the blades that are the same size.

Besides dicing, can it slice onions or tomatoes too?

This is only for dicing, but item number 103643 is a slicer that you can use for tomatoes and onions. Thank you.
