hi-wondering if these particular mason jars have raised letting on both sides or just one? Is the back side smooth glass? thanks!

Hi. The Ball Wide Mouth 1 Pint Mason Jars are the current ones that Ball manufactures, and after looking at the images on their site of the wide-mouth jars, this looks like it has the logo on one side, and a decorative pattern on the opposite side. Thanks!

I'm looking for drinking glasses without holders (like the libbey glasses) but with metal lids. The picture shows a lid on this mason jar, but I want to verify that they would all come with metal lids and if the lids are one piece or two (some canning jars have two piece lids). Also, do you know if it is safe to fill these with hot water (coffee, tea)? Thanks.

Hi. These Ball Wide Mouth 1 Pint Mason Jars come with 2 piece tops (bands and lids). They're primarily used for canning and storage, not drinking. If you use these for drinks, do not reuse the lids.
