Can this pot stand up to the heat of a grill or fire pit? Would like to use for a clam bake.
Answer:
According to a Vollrath engineer, this Vollrath #67524 pot will work ok and it will last awhile as long it is not run empty, in which case the flame can melt right through the bottom of the pan. For commercial or heavy use, he recommended the #68624 heavy duty stock pot. The bottom is twice as thick and he has heard in the past that this works well for clam bakes. Open flames and firepits can get uncontrollably hot, so the thicker the container, the better.

I cannot locate the top for this in your online catalog. The item number does not work for me when I do a search. Would you please provide me info on lid cover for this pot? Thank you! I am going to use this pot for the first time to boil pasta on an outside burner used for crawfish, shrimp, crab, boils. I needed a smaller pot for the pasta. Thanks again.

There are two lids available for this pot. There is a flat cover that is item number 175611 and a domed cover that is item 352006.
