These ramekins are a great choice for prep work at the house. I bought a dozen of them for my wife's birthday, and she has used them every day since. They are really solid, so you don't have to worry about them chipping easily like glass. I think the white ones are best because you can easily see the color of foods placed into them. The stack well, 12 of them take up the space of about 2 drinking glasses in the cupboard. I will be shopping for mixing bowls made of the same material soon.
