The vacuum base failed because the functional part was made from a low grade crap plastic where there should have been a metal part. The thing is obviously a copy of a good design, but it is not made from adequate parts in the "Made in China" plants. It is just made to sell, and it works for maybe one use if you are lucky.

Peels, cores & slices fast and extremely well. Works great on different size apples with no adjustment. READ instructions; use on a NON-POROUS surface so it will suction down tight. When juices flow, cleanup,then resuctioned on clean dry surface. Makes apple pies, cobblers, canning applesauce etc. so quick and easy to fix. I gave away all my other peelers, suggesting they buy one of these. GREAT PRODUCT!

I need to find a part for my Norpro apple parer. I need the 3-prong fork that holds the apple in place. Can you help me find this part?
Answer:
We don't have their 3-prong forks set up in our system, but you can order this part directly from Norpro, via phone (425-261-1000) or mail. I am uploading a booklet for their Apple Machines that you can download and print out. It will be on this product's page under the "Literature" tab sometime tomorrow. The parts and order form are on the last page of the booklet.

Base will not suction to counter surface- what do we do?
Answer:
Hi. Make sure the surface is non-pourous and clean, place the apple peeler unit on top, and rotate the lever to get a suction seal. Thanks!
