I've owned 7 of the 2.5qt size of this container for several years. We store all of our different flavors of whole-bean coffee in them on our countertops. Since these are all glass (not a metal lid) the coffee really stands out and looks GREAT against the granite backsplash and countertops. My mother loved the look, but wanted something a bit smaller, so I bought a set of 4 of the 2qt. She's very happy to have them in her kitchen, too! They can be stacked very securely, and the seals have held up to daily use (I don't see any wear) on the main flavors we use.

In transitioning from plastic-type storage containers, I have not found a good selection of sturdy glass substitutes. This group of products fills the bill nicely. The pieces are quite sturdy, keep dry foods fresh and/or crisp without absorbing the typical plastic smell. They are more than attractive enough to be kept on the countertop. Because they are substantial, they are relatively heavy, and I will not likely use them for refrigerator storage of leftovers, or even the warming of same in either a microwave or standard oven, though I am sure they are up to the task. At the reasonable and fair price, I look forward to buying more. I wish they came in sizes large enough for flour, sugar, etc., but at this heft, these would probably not be practical.
