Hello, this teapot is not insulated, so at this time the manufacturer does not have information on heat retention. It is made from ceramic, and will not keep tea hot for an extended amount of time beyond normal. Thank you!

What is the best wya to clean these quickly? Will the lid flip all the way back so you can lay them flat to run through a dishwasher?

Yes, this comes with an infuser basket. We have another in a different size too (item 191884 ). Another option is item 564902, which is clear.
