Hello, There are three switches as described by the product manual; 1) The Light/Warmer switch which heats the bottom of the corn pan and turns on the light; 2) The Kettle Motor Switch which turns on the motor which drivers the kettle agitator shaft; and 3) The Kettle Heat Switch which turns on the heat element inside the popcorn kettle.
