We use the thermometer to take product temperatures every 4 hours. Initially, it was quick but in less than a month, it was not functioning properly--slower, inaccurate, and caps at a certain hot temperature (129.4 degrees Fahrenheit). We've tried calibrating it to ice cold water, as instructed in the online troubleshooting forum for this model, but it did not work. When cleaning the thermometer, we do not submerge the entire piece, or leave it in a refrigerator for an extended period of time. This is the fourth or fifth thermometer of the same model that we have gone through (require by corporate) and it is not reliable or durable.
