QUESTION
We are trying to calibrate our Cooper Thermometer as it will not return to 0 degrees. Could you help us? Or possibly where it is over 30 years old should it just be replaced? Also, what is the little metal pointed tab on the outer edge of the circle for? Thank you for you help and we look forward to hearing answers to our questions.
Have a great day!
Pam
ANSWER
Hi. This cannot be calibrated. For a thermometer that old, I would suggest that replacing it would be the best option, especially since it would be quite an affordable replacement. The little metal pointer on the rim of the thermometer is a preset point that you can move around to help you see when the arm reaches the temperature you desire during cooking. Thanks!
