QUESTION
For Product: Comark KM28B CRS/5 Rubber Boot Thermocouple Thermometer Kit.
When the description of the product says it accepts a wide range of type K probes and has a subminiature connector, does this mean I may use my own probe and connector with the product? If so, do I need flat or round pin connectors? Should they be miniature or regular-sized?
ANSWER
The Comark KM28B will accept any K-type probe with a sub-miniature connector. “Sub-miniature” connector is an industry standard term that denotes a flat pin connection. Hope this helps!

QUESTION
What is the difference between the KM28 and KM28B?
ANSWER
Hi. The thermometer is the same, but the B denotes that it has a protective rubber boot and no probe. Thanks!

QUESTION
Where would I find the probes to go with this? I would need a flat surface one and regular needle probe. Or do any k-type probes work with this?
ANSWER
Hi. If you search our site for "KM28", you'll find a few that have the probes already. You can also search our site for "Comark probe" to see the individual probes we carry. This thermometer accepts many types of probes such as griddle, thin tip, penetration, and more. You can see a list of probes here, then search our website using the model numbers: http://www.comarkusa.com/show_probes.tpl?product_id=437
