QUESTION I used to have a sieve that was like a pot with a handle. You would put the can of tomatoes inside the pot, and inside it was a curved piece of metal that, as you turned the handle which is connected to the piece of curved metal, that served to push the tomatoes from the high end of the metal piece to the lower end and thereby "squeezing" the juice through the holes on the bottom of the pan. How does this one operate? All I see is a screen. How would you push through the tomato/food?
ANSWER This sieve does not have a handle and you would have to push the tomatoes through by hand. We do have some food mills with a hand crank that might work for you. The OXO 1071478V1 Good Grips Food Mill (Item #: 588533, Model #: 1071478V1), the Matfer Bourgeat X3 Stainless Steel Food Mill (Item #: 711542, Model #: X3), and the J.B. Prince U529 S/S 12" French Food Mill (Item #: 112174, Model #: U529). If you do a search on our website for "food mill" you should find a few more. Hope this helps!
