Description

This wired indoor / outdoor thermometer features a 10 foot probe that lets users monitor the weather when and how they want. The oversized digits provide easy‐to‐read indoor and outdoor temperatures in both F° and C°. With an integrated stand and wall mount, more versatile mounting options are available in any room, patio or garage.

QUESTION
is there a good, better, best place to mount the sensor/probe outside the structure? Thank you for your time.

ANSWER
Taylor recommends that you place the unit indoors in a well-ventilated location away from direct sunlight. It can be wall mounted or use the table stand on the back to place it on a table to get indoor temperatures. To get outdoor temperatures, use the attached sensor probe. Open a window and run the cable through the opening so that the sensor probe is exposed to the outdoor temperature. Gently close the window to avoid crimping or severing the cable. Also, the probe may be used to measure temperatures of aquariums, swimming pools, hot tubs, etc. Simply allow the end of the probe to hang where you wish to measure temperatures. Hope this helps.

QUESTION
How to open battery compartment?

ANSWER
The battery compartment, which is on the side of the thermometer, can be pulled out (may need a small phillips head screwdriver). The compartment slides out and the battery can be replaced. There is an instruction manual loaded on the product page that may be helpful. Thank you.
