Could these crates be used to make a coffee table. And can they be stained any color you wanted.

ANSWER
Hello, these crates come pre-stained. This crate is specifically an oak color, but the manufacturer also does stains in barnwood, sage green, and brick red. This crate is considered a display crate and can be stacked. Thank you!
