The product advertises itself as dishwasher safe. However, after one run in my standard dishwasher, the board came out slightly warped. In addition, it had small deformations where it was leaning up against part of the washer's tray. The damage isn't terrible, but I'm definitely going to be washing it by hand from now on. Unfortunately, this defeats a large reason for my buying the board in the first place, which was to have something that wouldn't hurt my knives but would be dishwasher safe, for sanitary reasons. Also, it's harder to clean by hand than, say, a normal wooden cutting surface, because it's very heavy and the surface adheres to small food particles slightly. I'd therefore recommend getting wood cutting boards and labeling them for meat and veggies. Cheaper or similar in price, a little nicer looking, easier to clean, and still very sanitary.
