He was an integral part of setting in place the control and planning tools that guided the company in its strategic objectives. In the early years, Frank also worked closely with <strong>Emil<\/strong>, <strong>Julius<\/strong>, and <strong>Sidney Wasserstrom<\/strong> (the second generation of the Wasserstrom family that helped to guide the business). Because the company was much smaller then, Frank had the opportunity to interact with the management of several of our affiliated companies including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wasserstrom.com\/restaurant-supplies-equipment\/n-wasserstrom-and-sons\"><strong>N. Wasserstrom &amp; Sons<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>Amtekco<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Frank was promoted in 1968 to <strong>Vice President of Planning and Finance<\/strong> for <strong>The Wasserstrom Company<\/strong>. In 1978 he was appointed <strong>Executive Vice President<\/strong>, a position he held until his <strong>retirement in 1996<\/strong>. After his retirement, Frank remained involved with Wasserstrom as a consultant working closely on many special projects.<\/p>\n<p>Over his 35 years of service, Frank had developed a wonderful perspective of the Wasserstrom family, the business, and all of the people associated within and around the enterprise.<strong> Rodney<\/strong> and <strong>Alan Wasserstrom<\/strong> (pictured above with Frank at center) asked Frank to write the history of the first 95 years of the Wasserstrom companies. <em>\u201c<strong>The Wasserstrom Company, The First 95 Years 1902-1997<\/strong>\u201d<\/em> was published in 1998. Frank later followed writing the book <em>\u201c<strong>The Wasserstrom Companies, A Century of Excellence<\/strong>\u201d<\/em> to commemorate our 100th<strong> Anniversary 1902-2002<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Frank provided solid leadership throughout the years. His values mirrored the company and Wasserstrom family values. He always thought of an associate as an extension of the family. He believed that people were the greatest resource of the company. We will always be appreciative of the many contributions that Frank made to the successes of Wasserstrom throughout the years. He was our friend, mentor to many, and a part of our family.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Frank leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Dorothy. He also has 4 children Steve, Mike, Terry and Tammy and quite a large Italian family he was very proud of. Frank\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legacy.com\/obituaries\/dispatch\/obituary.aspx?n=frank-j-fancelli&amp;pid=193619500&amp;fhid=8682\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">complete obituary was published in the Columbus Dispatch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We will miss you Frank.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Frank Fancelli.
