{"id":2933,"date":"2018-12-27T10:48:12","date_gmt":"2018-12-27T15:48:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wasserstrom.com\/blog\/?p=2933"},"modified":"2018-12-20T10:49:14","modified_gmt":"2018-12-20T15:49:14","slug":"throwback-thursday-the-wasserstrom-homstead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wasserstrom.com\/blog\/2018\/12\/27\/throwback-thursday-the-wasserstrom-homstead\/","title":{"rendered":"Throwback Thursday: The Wasserstrom Homestead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In early November, <strong>Seth Wasserstrom <\/strong>(Project Team Manager, DCS and 4th generation Wasserstrom family member), travelled to <strong>Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania<\/strong>. While in Wilkes-Barre, Seth visited <strong>164 North Canal Street<\/strong>. This is where founder Nathan Wasserstrom and his wife Rebecca lived with three of their eventual twelve children. Nathan and Rebecca lived in Wilkes-Barre in <strong>1901<\/strong> for only a year, before moving to Columbus in <strong>1902<\/strong>, <strong>the same year Wasserstrom as a company was founded<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the original homestead is no longer standing. And, alas, no photos have been found that show the original house.
