FreshAI was designed to understand various <strong>dialects, accents, unique franchise item names, and acronyms<\/strong>, in hopes of ensuring order accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the chatbot was taught to cut through common background interference like music and general chatter. Lastly, FreshAI was programmed with sales savvy. Humans will continue to provide customer service and prepare food inside of Wendy&#8217;s.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wendy&#8217;s Aims to Enhance Drive-Thru Efficiency With AI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wendy\u2019s is optimistic that this new AI program will elevate their customer experience by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>eliminating miscommunication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reducing long wait times<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>creating a smoother and more efficient drive-thru flow<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The initial tests will <strong>monitor factors such as the ease with which customers are able to place their orders<\/strong>, all while mirroring the experience of speaking to a human employee rather than artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wendy&#8217;s Joins the Rank of Foodservice Chains Utilizing Artificial Intelligence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wendy&#8217;s chatbot follows in the footsteps of other leading chains that have integrated or are testing new AI programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This list includes <a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/the-byte\/panera-drive-thru-ai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Panera Bread<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/90860459\/chatbots-for-chicken-wings-ai-voice-startup-conversenow-expands-with-wingstop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wingstop<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.restaurantdive.com\/news\/cke-partners-with-presto-opencity-to-increase-drive-thru-ai-deployment\/649437\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CKE restaurants<\/a> including Hardy\u2019s and Carl\u2019s Jr., and industry giant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.giantfreakinrobot.com\/tech\/see-mcdonalds-ai-hilariously-fail.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">McDonald\u2019s<\/a>. For instance, in June of 2021, McDonald&#8217;s launched an AI-powered drive-thru service, albeit with some mixed results. Representatives cite that McDonald&#8217;s had anticipated an accuracy rate of 95%.
