Lodge® Manufacturing L10SK3 12" Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet
This is a good heavy fry pan it's not going anywhere if you pan fry chicken or anything else. That's what I like about it. Because if you ever got burned because the pan got moved with hot oil in it you will love this pan because of it's weight. You can't flip eggs in it because of the small main handel and lack of leveage it provides. However if you only had space for a few pans this should be one of them.

Skillet received was not as originally pictured; had awkward handle. I was looking for the old fashioned cast iron skillet. The reason I came to your site was because it did not show the awkward handle. When I opened the box I was disappointed. I have tried using it and have found that I can't use other burners on my stove as the extra handle interferes and have had to go back to my 10 " cast iron skillet.

Lodge® Manufacturing L10SK3 12" Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet
I had one of these years ago and it was misplaced in the midst of four moves. I am so pleased to have another one of these fry pans again. When I got my original one I had to season it myself. Buying this one pre-seasoned was really a treat and time saver. Great size. I use it all the time. I just love it!!!!

I notice that many of your fry pans, 12", is a pre-seasoned one. I thought these weren't very good. The older models, i.e. Griswold (Erie) weren't seasoned. You did it yourself. What makes yours better? Any what are the benefits to a pre-seasoned one. ????

Hi. The benefits of a pre-seasoned one is that it's ready to use. According to Lodge, "Our award winning foundry seasoning produces cast iron of equal quality to Grandma’s prized hand-me-downs. Lodge’s foundry seasoning is similar to a home-seasoning method, but on a larger scale. The cast iron is sprayed with a soy-based vegetable oil and then baked on at a very high temperature. The heat allows the oil to penetrate into the iron, creating a black patina finish with superior appearance and performance than home seasoning." Please see the link below to their site regarding the seasoning: http://www.lodgemfg.com/use-care-seasoned-cast-iron.asp

Is the quantity actually 2 skillets? I just received my purchase and it had two skillets in the box. That is great if I actually purchased two skillets.

Gram, It is only one skillet that is listed with this item number. I would check your receipt to see if you were charged for two skillets. Thanks!

item #L10SK3 is described as a 12" skillet. The bottom of the skillet is usually 1-2 inches smaller. Can I get that bottom measurement please? Can I get the bottom measurement on skillet #L8SK3 as well? Thank you.

Hi, the L10SK3 has a 10" bottom diameter and a 12" top diameter. The L8SK3 has an 8" bottom diameter and a 10" top diameter. Thank you.
