QUESTION Hello, I bought the Stopper with the longer narrow white piece that goes into the bottle, and it doesn't hold the carbonation. I had an old one that had the more 'blunt/short' piece, and it works fine. Also, why the difference in price, and which do you recommend at the better maintenance of carbonation?
Many thanks, Lynne
ANSWER Hello, our stopper with the longer white piece is nickel plated, whereas this item is made from stainless steel, which accounts for the difference in price. All of our champagne bottle stoppers are designed to keep champagne carbonated until their next use. To maintain carbonation, we would recommend putting the stopper on the bottle as soon as it is served. Thank you!
