The "Metropolitan Tea" Stainless Steel Henley Teapot
I love my loose leaf green tea. and 3 teaspoons is the perfect brew for me. This pot will not drip from the spout, but do not get in a hurry pouring, as tea will leak out from where lid fits the pot, if you over tilt the pot while pouring. Do not wash pot with soap, as this will remove the break-in tea residue that coat the inside of the pot and spout and you will have to break it in and reseason the pot all over again. Thoroughly Rinse The Pot in warm water after each use!
The pot is very attractive. It has a nice artistic look and functional design. It is constructed of 18-8 food grade stainless steel and is polished nicely. The infuser is made of good quality stainless steel mesh as well. I have this same pot in the 47 oz. size for use with more than 2 people. (serving up to 4) I love it also. I bought the smaller pot so I would not waste my good loose leaf green tea.
The lid, the lid knob, and sides of the pot get very hot and stay hot for an extended period of time, so be sure and use a tea towel or pot holder to handle the lid, etc. The pot handle itself, however, remains at a nice temperature to touch with a bare hand.
