The wood is a bit darker than appears in the photo. The construction quality is solid. Overall, I am very pleased with it. I was unable to find any other similar condiment holder that had four openings. Most have two or three.
I use each opening for a different type of packet (i.e., Sugar, Equal, Truvia, Splenda) next to my Keurig machine to keep things organized on the counter. That way whoever comes over and wants a cup of coffee has whichever option they prefer.
