would this guard fit the Hobart M-802 Floor mixer
Answer:
This cover fits on the 20 qt bowls. We also have splash covers that fit on the 12, 30, 40, 60 and 140 qt bowls. Please feel free to search "Hobart splash covers" on our site to see if any of those will be what you are looking for. Thank you.

Can this also be used as a guard per OSHA standards ยงยง1910.212(a)(1) and .212(a)(3)(ii)for machine guarding protection from moving or rotating parts?
Answer:
Hi. You may need to confirm this with OSHA, but in regards to 1910.212(a)(1), it says that you need a type of guard to prevent items from leaving the machine. This splash cover is meant to control ingredients from splashing out. In regards to 212(a)(3)(ii), this splash guard is removable, so I suppose it permits easy handling of materials when you're done operating the machine. Please check with your OSHA representative to confirm. Thanks! |
